Access
The main acces to the hut is from San Giorio di Susa, Valle di Susa, 50 km west of Turin.
By car, at the junction along the road n. 24, follow the signs for Balma/Martinetti/Pognant/Citta'. At Citta' (1075m altitude) follow the indications for rifugio Toesca until "Cortavetto/Paradiso delle rane" (1265m altitude) where you park the car.
From Cortavetto, on foot, you pass by the "Paradiso delle rane" bar (5 minutes walk) and you follow the trail n.513/Sentiero dei Franchi. After reaching Rifugio Amprimo (1385m altitude - around 30-40 minutes walk) and continuing along the trail n.510, passing by the Balmetta inferiore summer pasture (1515m altitude- around 1h walk - it is possbile to buy very good cheese here!!!) , you keep walking until a big rock where you keep the trail to the left, gently rising in a larch forest. You reach a plateau and after crossing a water stream the path rises for the last 10 minutes of walk before the hut. (1710m altitude - around 1.30h-1.45h).
It is also possible to reach us by public transport: on the months of July and August (on Mondays and Thursdays), the "Autoservizi AMC Canuto" runs a bus service from Bussoleno to Adret-Citta'.
